React2 is the brand new suite of speech and language therapy software that is breaking new ground in computer aided therapy.
Since React1 was launched in 1998 it has been a leading product for
speech and language rehabilitation, sold to therapists
and private individuals throughout most English
speaking countries. However, the program has now been completely
re-written and updated, which makes React2 a huge step forward.
React2 combines the development skills of a team of
speech and language therapists from NHS Borders,
Scotland, with input from specialists in the UK and
around the world.
Each exercise has been carefully graded in both the
use of vocabulary and task complexity, with much of
the vocabulary selected from the Downs Ed lists.
The five modules contain around 7,800 exercises, each also available as a separate module. The Life Skills module has just been launched, meaning the breadth and depth of content will spread even further.
Specifically Developed for use with:
- Adults with aphasia
- Adults and children with learning difficulties
- Children with delayed or disordered language
The Program is organised into 5 modules:
* All new, bold and clear full screen graphics that resize
to any monitor resolution.
* New, easy to use menu system.
* Randomised exercises give even more varied therapy.
* Exercises carefully strctured into different levels of
difficulty, to suit the exact needs of the client.
* Results Analysis Module allowing progress to be
closely monitored over time, and printed out.
The Results can then be output to a spreadsheet for
* Therapist/ carer registration and login system allowing
multiple users to use the same license with different
* Individual and multi-user licenses available.
* Built in Help system.
* New Life Skills module just launched in 2008.
“The software contains a broad range of receptive and
expessive language procesing activities and, clearly, is
based on current theory on aphasiology. The individual
tasks contain well-developed hierarchies, and have
clear instructions and pictures. In addition, React2 is
very user friendly, both for the clinician and the client.
We believe that React2 will become an invaluable
resource for clinicians working with aphasia.”
